things I've found in my dryer

Monday, April 26, 2010

Being a mother of a boy, my washer & dryer take a real beating sometimes. Not only do they wash off halacious amounts of mud and "creek stank" Kyle & Chris both love to be outdoors and always feel the need to bring some of it back home with them when they return...thanks boys!

I have no pictures for this post but trust me when I say "just use your imagination on the is one". In Kyles mere 13 & 1/2 years I have washed & dried all sorts of fun & neat things such as.........

fishing lures complete with hooks and metal weights

rubber fishing worms

rocks

sunflower seeds(still in the shell) did you know they bust out of the shell when they get all wet???? YEP....sure do!

a granola bar

a can of dip(wintergreen I might add...it was Chris's...I HOPE!)

acorns

1 trillion tubes of chap stick...{{grrrrrrr}}

an assortment of pocket knives

Chris's debit card...not Kyles fault :O)

the key to the four wheeler

batteries

and enough candy wrappers to wall paper my bathroom

....is it that obvious that I NEVER check pockets before I do laundry?

But I must say, the one thing I haven't washed enough of is money...I barely scrap by enough to by a drink out of the vending machine!

Oh my goodness Trish this is hilarious!! I thought I was the only one who didn't check pockets?! I also have the sunflower seed thing going on over here! Oh and by the way- as for change, It cost me $75.00 to have 25 cents removed from that darn washing machine!! After that I started checking the pockets! OUCH!! ;) Glad to have you follow along!! Isn't Leslie from Words of Me great?? ;)

LOL....sorry about the lack of money though. I could complain about all the insignificant annoyances I put with but at least Dwight does clean out his pockets. I don't clean pockets out either! BTW, I'm grabbing your cute button. Did you accept me on FB? I never got confirmation!

I thought about doing a post very similar to this this week. Today while doing laundry I pulled a G.I. Joe, Lego, 2 Hot Wheels, a handful of rocks and keys out of the dryer. Life as a Mom is NEVER boring!

I'm going to hunt you down of FB btw!

Hmmmm, I totally understand. I refuse to check my guys pockets and I have washed and dried wallets, change, lighters (michael's), and the connecters he used on installs when he worked for DirecTV. Such is life with guys...

Hi, this is the first time I have checked out your blog. I came here via Leslie from Words of Me. I sympathize with you as i live in a house full of boys. Recently, my 14 year old son washed a whole pack of gum with his clothes...talk about a mess to clean! Arghhhhhh!

Man! Too bad it can't be good things like diamonds and other expensive stuff! I have washed a few interesting things too because Michael never empties his pockets. Heres to washing more money and less mud and creek stank!
